Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technologies (BUSET)
Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technologies (BUSET) are previously known as Instituted of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (IEET). This is a technical professional higher education institute located at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India.
Now the university was called as Baddi University. It is formed in the year 2002 and got the university recognition in the year 2009.
The university is situated in the foothills of Himalayas in the Baddi industrial area. This is 40Kms away from Chandigarh via Pinjore, 29Kms away from Chandigarh via siswan and 30Kms away from Panchkula and 20km from Pinjore. The Baddi University Campus is spread over an area of 16 Hectares.
The Baddi University has 4 major institutes :
• Institute of Engineering and Emerging Technologies (IEET)
• Institute of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (IPES)
• Institute of Management Studies (IMS)
• Institute of Mass Communication Studies (IMCOS)
IEET:
IEET was formed in the year 2002. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research studies in engineering. It is again divided into 8 Major academic departments
Civil Engineering Department, Computer Applications department.
Computer Science and Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Information Technology Department, Mechanical Engineering Department, Applied Sciences and Humanities Department.
IPES:
Institute of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences (IPES) was formed in the year 2007. It is ranked among the top colleges in India.
IMS: IMS is established in the year 2008 with the vision of making students into business leaders.
IMCOS:
IMCOS Offer Mass Communication Degree for the students who are interested in this field.
Baddi University provides extensive facilities for students to show their skills. The university Library is the best among the libraries in India.
There are separate reading rooms for the students. It provides facilities for both indoor and outdoor games for the students. 24 Hours Wi-Fi facilities are offered for the students in the campus.
Cultural and Non-Academic Activities take place regularly in the Baddi University. Cultural Events like dramatics, Speaking, Literary Arts, Music and Fine Arts marks as very important feature of the Baddi University students. Three main events namely Sangam, Emanation, Master Mind will be organized in Baddi University Campus every year.
Students are encouraged to participate in the societies and clubs which were already active in the university campus. Various societies and clubs in the college campus are SSB Club, National Service Scheme, Sports, Art of Living, ISTE Chapters, Music and Dramatics Society, Literary Society, Fine Arts Club, Hackers Club, Photomaniakz Club, Corporate Social Responsibility Club, Robotics Club.
